Meh...after a year

I love the convenience but after a year the heating element will not heat above 350 for grilling or searing anymore. I bought this to be a quick alternaitve to my green egg.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great for apartment living!

I got this as a gift! I turned it on, heats up well and cooks pretty much anything! The first time I used it I made grilled jalapeños, onions, apples, potatoes, hot dogs, & steaks! It definitely adds a different flavor to the food, tastes great! I will use everyday!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great BBQ for apartments!

I purchased my Char-Broil secondhand very lightly used and love it. I live in an apartment and can’t use charcoal or gas grills so this electric grill is great. Temperatures get very high and it maintains a steady heat. I used this grill as a smoker today for some chicken and it worked wonderfully. Easy to clean, easy to use and sturdy. The unit looks very nice and classic as well. Can’t say enough good about this grill and look forward to smoking ribs and other meats in the future!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Surprising results.

I bought this grill 2 months ago and although I had reservations about an electric grill I have been pleasantly surprised.
Although as some people say the temperature drops when you open the lid I have not any problems cooking on this grill, nice grill marks, the BBQ flavour equals that of a propane BBQ.
One very important piece a of advice is to make sure you have an adequate extension cord if using one. I used the 16 gauge cord that I had, 2 things occurred. First the temperature wouldn't go above 400f, second the cord got dangerously hot!
I then bought a 12 gauge with much better results, temperature now reaches 550f.
I would highly recommend this grill for those that have gas or charcoal restrictions.

Great for an apartment...but loses a lot of heat

Purchased this as an alternative to the George Foreman outdoor grill. This grill does a decent job, it heats pretty quick, I can get it to around 475 degrees, never been able to get it hotter. But the minute you open to put food on it loses a ton of heat, and I have not been able to get it back to a high heat, it stays around 300 after I put meat on.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Over all good grill

I bought a Char- broil electric grill model # 17602047 1 year and 1 month ago and I loved it. but now it stop working, something is wrong with The electrical cord, and it would cost more to fix it, then what I paid for it.
I would recommend this to a friend!
