Waste of money

Purchased this grill along with cover because it was the perfect size. After 5 uses the grate has so much rust we stopped using for fear of rust in our food! The grate is only stainless plated!!! NO solid stainless grate is available for this model.
We ran the propane 15 minutes before and after and oiled well each time. Also always covered.
Don't waste your money..
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Completely sucks all the electricity from house

This is the worst grill. You have to have everything that’s plugged in your house turned off in order for this to get the power it needs to heat up. And then when you’re grilling as soon as you open the lid for 20 seconds all the heat is gone and it takes another 30 minutes to heat back up. Worst purchase. I reached out to the company but they won’t get back to me. It’s a complete waste of money. It cannot maintain temp while cooking and can take hours to cook something That should take 20 mins.

Works great. Until heating element quit

I love it. Temperature guage and settings on control are accurate enough that I can control cook time well. With lid down all areas of grill produce same result. I am very disappointed that heating element quit after two months! I am older and can't do repair myself. Provisional yes on recommend this. Element NOT covered under warranty!

It doesn’t cook anything. I want to return it. It heats up, but the minute you put food in it, the temperature drops and never gets back to cooking temperature again.

Fine unless you need an extension cord

I’d hoped to use this on my deck, but the voltage drop from the outlet about 25 ft away (along an extension cord allowed in the manual) resulted in an inability to attain a temperature over 350 (too low to sear). So, if you need an extension cord, plan on slow cooking only. Also: took about 2 hours to put together, even though the instructions were very clear— many steps.

Total pice of garbage

I've owned a Char Broil TRU Infrared previously and decided to upgrade to the larger unit. This grill is utter garbage, doesn't stay hot, screw keep coming out of lid on right side, our meat never quite seems properly cooked - either over (left on too long) or under. The fat on steaks does not ever render as well. Total waste of money

3 times a #CharBroil Lady

When I had to move years ago, I gifted mine to my neighbor.
I bought my 2nd grill when I got to where I was moving to- 4.5 years later, I gifted it to the buyer when I sold the house- came back to where I lived previously, and bought my 3rd. Still going!
It's convenient- it cooks well. I eat a Mediterranean diet so I grill almost everything I eat.
Other than the fact that I would love a choice of a non-stick surface if possible, and a push down and locking turn position on the on-off knob, I couldn't say better things about the grill.
