Dual screen is not a gimmick, keyboard is great

I was looking for a laptop with 1.high portability (both in terms of size and weight) and 2. good specs & price. This fit the bill.
As a programmer, I typically need more screen space than a 14 inch screen provides, but 17 inch laptops are bulky. This laptop's design solved this issue, since the second screen near the keyboard provides me with more than enough space to move my terminal and some documentation references off the main screen, which makes the 14" screen feel perfect for my use-case. I should also mention that ASUS has done a wonderful job adding support to use the second screen in a seamless manner, my favorite being the action menu that allows me to move windows between the screens and even resize the window over both screens (so I can easily use the built in terminal in VS Code, for example, or scroll through a website using the touchscreen closer to my hand while only looking at the main one).
Keyboard/trackpad: Now for the thing that most people (including myself before I bought it) are probably worried about, the keyboard layout.
Tl;dr --- if you're a righty, this keyboard/trackpad is perfect.
The keyboard is exceptionally nice to type on, and not crowded (as I expected it to be, since the screen takes a lot of space). And I love the trackpad, the texture just feels nice, and I actually prefer for it to be on the right side (vs below the keyboard), since I'm right-handed. If you're left handed, you would have to get used to using the trackpad with your right hand OR just plug in a mouse whenever you use the computer. I suppose touchscreen works nicely too (I find myself using the touchscreen more on this than other touchscreen laptops since the bottom screen is much closer to my hands when they are resting near or on the keyboard).

Battery: And battery tends to last ~6 hours for me (pdfs, chrome, coding on vscode/matlab at 30-50% brightness. I don't run any heavy programs while on battery). This works well for me, especially since it charges in about 1.5 hours, I might work for 4-5 hours, charge it for a lunch break, then resume using it on my couch unplugged once I'm done eating. This may be too short for others though.
Ventilation/lap usage: Unlike many reviews I've seen, I personally don't have a problem with using it on my lap. Compared to most laptops, since the ventilation is spread between the vents under the secondary screen and the sides (with one vent on the bottom, but I use a stand that attaches with double sided tape on the bottom, which came with my laptop), it actually doesn't have any issues with ventilation on my lap or on a bed even.
Overall, highly recommend this laptop. I am impressed with the premium build quality/feel, and their attention to detail. I had some doubts about the keyboard layout, but bought it anyway since I saw some reviews that claimed that the keyboard was truly not a problem (I read more positives about the keyboard if anything, it truly is the best keyboard I've used on a laptop before). I felt compelled to do this review since those reviews helped me to take the plunge and try this novel (and sort of weird) product, and as a plus, ASUS has offered me a 90 day warranty extension for leaving a review :D

I’ve been eyeing this beauty for awhile, but was torn over a mac..I’m an Apple enthusiast HOWEVER! I’m soooo happy I brought this one instead!! I cannot rave enough about all of the wonderful things I’ve been able to do on this thing! And learning more everyday!! Get yourself one!!

Best Laptop on the Market!

I have had this laptop for a couple of weeks now and I love it. The workflow is so seamless and response time and graphic quality is amazing. I cant say enough about this laptop and if you are reading this you should buy one. ASUS is being so gracious is giving me a 3 month warranty extension for leaving a genuine review. Such a great company to work with.
