I use this on my travel tripod to add my preferred ballhead. It comes with a short post, but you can add the longer post that comes with the tripod.

for traveling I use the head that comes with the tripod, but for work at home and that does not matter the weight or volume I use the adapter with a fluid head from Manfrotto

It does what it supposed to do

I just wish it comes with a longer central column so I don't have to screw/unscrew the ballhead everything time I want to use it. Or at least if they sell the central column, I could keep it attached to the head adapter. That would make life much easier.

But using the user universal head, I’m able to use a gimbal mount head for supporting a huge lens for Astro photography
