not as good as expected

Our 24" oven is uncommon and so we couldn't see one in the showroom. After installation we were disappointed with the very basic, old-fashioned features. There is no way to determine the current temperature of the oven. There is only a very basic clock and timer. The knobs feel sloppy and inexpensive. It came with only one wire rack!! The temperature is 20 degrees lower than the set point. The owners manual is little help.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A 24-inch beauty

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We replaced our 34 year old 26 inch wall oven with the Bosch 24 inch wall oven because it appears that nobody makes a 26 inch oven any more. We were initially concerned about the oven capacity, but we were relieved to discover that the 24 inch oven has adequate space for average sized roasts, chickens and turkeys and room for normal sized cookie/baking sheets.
This is the first oven we have had that runs a fan when it is operating and when it is cooling down. We were a bit disappointed that the fan is noisier and a bit whinier compared to what we expected from Bosch.

Great oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Uncomplicated and does a great job turning out perfectly cooked foods EVERY TIME! Easy clean!!!
The only bad thing about it is there is NO alert to tell you when the oven has reached the set temp, you have to get one of those thermometers to hang inside to know what temp its at, and literally WATCH for the tiny orange LED light to go off which it does when it has finished preheating!! Its like you did the packing for the ski trip and didn't even bother to take the skis! Why build a great oven in every way, and leave out one of the most important - and simplest - components an oven can have??(GRRRRRRR!!!)

German Quality?

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I'm rather disappointed with this oven. It seems alright, but I expected more from BOSCH. My main problem is that the actual temperature is not indicated - it is not the selected temperature. This varies quite a lot - the temperature control is bad. Another point is that the elapsed time is not shown. Also, heating is very sloooow.
As far as I can tell, it seems well built, good manual.
But, as I said: I think it doesn't come up to the BOSCH reputation. It isn't really THAT cheap.
