Solved wifi issues

I replaced two wifi extenders with the Netgear Orbi system and cleared up several problems. I compared the Orbi system against cheaper two radio systems and decided to purchase the Orbi three radio system to maximize transmission speeds. Locating the satellite units was aided by the color coded lights that display blue, yellow, red, depending on the strength of the signal front the router. After getting the satellites properly located, I was able to get stronger coverage on my front and back patios. Sound and video transmission problems I had previously when streaming over Apple TV inside my house is now working without a hitch. I had to turn off the router on my modem/router installed by my interned service provider to reduce interference with the Orbi router. After turning off the competing router, my wifi signal strength increased significantly. I tested signal strength using one of the many free apps that measure internet download and upload speeds. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Amazing System

I purchased the Orbi6 mesh network to patch up the WiFi holes in our house. I admittedly purchased a system that was a little overkill size-wise, but I have zero gaps in coverage anywhere in the house now, including the basement. As an added bonus, I’ve found that WiFi appears to reach every corner of our backyard and front yard throughout my 1.5 acre property. Perfect for listening to my tunes while doing yard work! Also, despite all our devices, there is no loss in individual internet speed, which is great since I’m teleworking and both kids are in virtual school with a lot of video conferencing. At one point, all 3 of us were on video conferences at the same time, and we had other devices running as well, and we experienced zero lag. Amazing system!

This system is unbelievable. Sooo easy to setup. I had to unplug it and move it to it’s permanent home because I was testing to see if it really worked at first. I didn’t have to start over! I have the satellite router in my office in the basement; and since I hardwired into the satellite, it has not dropped one time nor have I had to reboot any home equipment to restart the router and it’s been about three weeks. The signal is strong, extremely consistent, and always performing at the highest level. We had a storm and my next door neighbor’s internet was fading in and out. We have the same internet provider and my signal did not blink one time even though our house flickered at times in the storm. We gave him Guest access so he could work through the storm - literally!!! We have all Apple products and there are not a lot of options for internet security. It is so easy to set up and never have to worry about updates. Orbi updates and fixed on its own. It’s genius is King among all internet robots! I enjoy the app which allows me to control every aspect of performance, security, and devices. We have 7 laptops, 7 iPads, 5 cell phones, 5 watches, 4 smart TV’s, 3 Video game systems, a printer, Treadmill, 21 smart plugs, 3 Samsung appliances, 5 Ehco Dots, and 3 WiFi controllable surge protectors with many other electronics plugged in to them. None of these devices failed in performance in three weeks on our overloaded system. My wife, three children, and I are connected all day long for work and school; due to being at home because of COVID. Buying this Orbi was less expensive than having internet equipment upgraded with monthly fees in the long run as well as being less expensive than having an interior home remodel to make everything work properly. This really is a cure all! Best purchase ever. Welcome to the family Orbi, we love you!!!
