NETGEAR Orbi Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 6

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded our Netgear router to the Orbi Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 6 to improve whole house reception and to accommodate the large number of devices in our smart home set up. The system produced dramatic improvements in WiFi reception and through put, particularly in parts of the house distant from the cable modem. In my home office, speed was up by a factor of 20. All over the house now we can download at the internet speed rated by our cable provider. I consider this purchase well worth the investment.

New Wi-Fi for my home

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my previous Wi-Fi with the Orbi Mesh system and it increased the speed to the 2nd floor and increased the signal strength to my outdoor security cameras. Love it!!

Great upgrade from my Orbi WiFi 5 system

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from a 3 node Orbi WiFi 5 system in order to support more devices. Was pleasantly surprised to see the speed boost I got with WiFi 6. My system uses wireless backhaul since I don't have the ethernet infrastructure to support wired. I have 4 NAS's that use the ethernet ports on both satelites, and the speed improvement over my older WiFi 5 system was noticeable. I had to call tech support because the iPhone app kept showing my older system. Tech support was fabulous. Had me up and running on the new system in minutes.

This sucks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Day 1, everything connects and all is fine. turn on Security, coincidence or not, and Satellites don't connect or don't last for more than 24 hours. My old ones worked fine, about to get them out of the box and return these!

Beyond expectations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For years I have been struggling to find a home private network solution where I wouldn’t get my spouse or even my daughter to complain about lag, disconnects, unstable and intermittent connectivity. Getting Wi-Fi speeds of 350 - 420 Mbps on a 1.2 GB paid plan was blazing fast. Normally we would get 198 a 284 Mbps and with 3 people trying to do stuff (play games, watch Plex, or do research/work) let’s just say I got an earful regularly. Then Wi-Fi 6 emerged and I jumped at the chance to possibly see speed increases and less nagging. Picked up a TP-Link Deco x90 and saw no real improvement and actually more instability in connection. I finally decided to begrudgingly spend top dollar for a Netgear Orbi RBK752. Why didn’t I make the jump sooner raced through my mind immediately after setting up the new Wi-Fi system. On the same 1.2 GB plan I did the same speed tests as I did previously and this time my speeds were 934 Mbps regularly. I checked it multiple times a day, during peak and slow times, and continued for a 7 day period and I regularly hit 930s - 950s Mbps. Thus far the Netgear Orbi RBK752 has decreased the nagging, remained consistent with high speed internet and now it’s Happy Wife “Happy Life”. Don’t be cheap like I was. Don’t second guess the ability of getting what you pay for (both with the internet plan and the Wi-Fi router speeds). Save yourself from the ear punishment and non-stop nagging because lag caused the latest raid death. I certainly will not settle for mediocrity and in the future my first purchase will be a Netgear Orbi system. Thank you Netgear!
