Great system

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used Netgear systems only since the mid 2000s and I have to say this system is probably the easiest to set up for someone who is not savvy in configuring a network. All you do is download the app to your phone and plug it in and the app walks you through all of the steps to set up your network. The only “gotcha” is when you are prompted to change your network password. If you change your password prior to completing the original setup, you will have to reset your router and start over. Netgear should remove that ability to reduce confusion and setup time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been using Google Nest Wifi for a few years. Always struggled with internet speeds in a lot of areas in my house, to the tune of 40-60Mb in most places unless close to main router. On a friends recommendation switched to Orbi. I do not get less than 320Mb anywhere in my house. No blips, or outages like with the Google stuff. Changed my WFH game. Cannot recommend high enough. Worth every penny.

Does not allow a connection with my NVR home monitoring system. Tried creating a static IP, then hooked my Google mesh back up and it found a port immediately. Disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better than expected

I had looked into mesh routers before but never felt I NEEDED it because I didn’t think it would make much of a difference for my smaller house. Very pleasantly surprised at how well they work and create a trouble and worry-free network. Would highly recommend!
