Orbi on the Loose

Just installed an Orbi Mesh system it is providing better internet connection without interruption as I move around my house. It is also providing much fasted up/down load speeds to my devices. So far the Orbi is working as stated and I am glad I finally installed a mesh system.

Set up the Orbi with 2 Sats using Nighthawk Cable Modem. I have faster speeds than my service advertised even in the basement. 705mbs! Xfinity was not easy to work with due to network outages in my area but they helped me get it up and running trough tech support.

It is way better than the previous one I bought, it has a good range of wifi. I took one star out because when I moved the router to other room for better range of wifi, it cannot reconnected to all my devices and I had syncing it multiple times but still unable to connect, I have to reset it and restart the whole process of setting up. This is the only thing I don’t like about it.

Upgraded from two separate Wi-Fi hubs to eliminate conflicts and coverage concerns. After discussions with NETGEAR support, decided on going with an ORBI solution versus extender options. So happy I did! Easy installation and setup and incredible performance.

The coverage has been awesome. And having a ethernet connection the back of the extenders are a plus. It allowed me to use some old electronics that only have an ethernet port. It has been fairly reliable.
