Just What I Needed

Super easy to setup. WiFi in the downstairs area of my house was very spotty. One room in particular was a dead zone. After setting this up I have a strong, fast signal in every room, even my backyard.

Great performance - limited controls - buggy app

Performance wise this works great. Range is good, speed throughout is close to the max plan speed throughout the house and the system handles handoff smoothly when moving between nodes. Setup was a breeze. The Android app is buggy, freezes frequently or says no internet connected (Note 10+). The web interface works fine as an alternative. Controls are limited and it offers no real parental controls to speak of. Apparently that is being worked on in an upcoming system update. As of the writing of this review, circle is not yet supported. Overall I'm happy with the purchase given the overall performance provided future firmware upgrades address the issues mentioned above.

REALLY Need Parental Controls

Like many others, I upgraded my mesh network in time for virtual learning. I have 4 kids and also assumed that Circle would be included (Router plus 2 satellites). I am happy with
the wifi, but considering returning devices because parental controls are needed. I saw responses that parental controls are expected to come out with a firmware update. The question is how long is that expected to take? School is starting now. :(
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Connection Issues

I am very unhappy with my tri-band mesh router and wish that I had read the reviews prior. The router does not connect to both 2/5 GigHz bands and would only allow me to connect a few of the newer devices. I could not connect my roomba, doorbell and some of our ipads would not connect even with the correct password. I would not recommend this router and agree with the problem reviews.

Easy set up, great extender

I put up WiFi cameras around my house but my WiFi signal couldn’t quite meet the range required to adequately support the cameras, so I got the Orbi system to solve the problem. The set up was very easy. Both the written and App instructions are well written and easy to follow. I put my satellite units in the rooms of the house closest to the cameras. The difference the Orbi made was immediate. I went from weak WiFi to good WiFi on all my cameras. The only downside is with my old router, I had a 2G and 5G option for WiFi. The Orbi only recognizes the 2G. So I just slaved my old router off the new Orbi router so I still have the 5G for TV streaming. Bottom line, Orbi is a great product and solves the weak WiFi signal to the far reaches of my 3300 sq ft house.

Expensive you think direction would be nice.

Returned it tried to hook it up for three days. Satellite won’t respond.
