Dramatically improved home wi-fi

Upgraded from 802.11ac router and wireless network was dramatically improved - both speed and reliability. Gigabit FiOS was previously bottle necked by old router but now getting much closer to advertised numbers. No longer having issues with mult computers accessing VPNs and/or simultaneous Zoom calls. Set-up took a few tries but now very reliable. Very happy with upgrade.

Since using Netgear Orbi our wifi speed has increased by double. We can all use the wifi at the same time without any problems of it slowing down.

Orbi = Easy

So I have a rather complicated home network. I plugged in the router and then satellite and then pushed sync button on the router and then satellite. Downloaded the app and was basically done. I made a few minor changes to suit my needs and was done. The Orbi worked just fine along side my current routers/ap and extender with any issue. This was the easiest setup of a home network device I have sern in 20 years. I always help others setup their home networks and will be suggesting Orbi only going forward.

Simple - Orbi=Easy

I have setup many brands of routers over the last 20 years. I help friends, small businesses etc... setup routers and network gear. This by far was the easiest setup. I connected the Orbi router into my ISP gateway along side my current wired and wireless network. I then powered on a satellite upstairs on the opposite side of my 3000 square foot home. I think pushed the sync button on the router and then the satellite. I downloaded the app and by the time I logged into the app the devices had already set themselves up. Choosing another DHCP range automatically so it did not conflict with my current range. I spent another 15 minutes making tweaks of my choosing on the router and I was done. Probably took my 30 minutes start to finish. This was by far the easiest setup I have worked with over the years and will recommend the Orbi to my friends and family.

A Substantial improvement - more tweaks needed

The 3-unit Orbi system has lead to a substantial improvement in WiFi access in our 3 level house. The prior unit was buried behind wood walls at one end of the house, leaving poor reception on the other end. The Orbi 3-unit has provided a material improvement to our access at the far end of the house. But more is needed; speeds could be higher. I will be continuing to tweak the organization and placement of the units, including a test of a "hot" run wired connection to one unit on the lower level. The good news is that the Orbi tools allow me to analyze whether new placements and connections will provide improved service.
