Love Netgear products! Purchased the Orbi, hooked it all up, but the internet kept dropping me! Camera wouldn’t connect in my shed

Aweful product, aweful customer service

The product is very difficult to set up and gliches. 24/7 customer service never answers the phone. The phone is always busy. Terrible service or lack there of.

Frustrating set up

Orbi advertised as being able to set up in minutes, maybe they meant hundreds of minutes? The technology is is only so-so when it comes to ease of setup - I have configured many routers and while the process may be theoretically easier, the fact the technology did not work smoothly and I had to go down sever tech support rabbit holes was not fun. So a frustrating setup and also unclear parental control directions make this less than perfect. It is fast and does have many capabilities once you can get it set up.

Outstanding speed, and nice features. However, the owner should be able to turn off the smart features. Thus, allowing for dedicated 2.4G and 5G bands.

Just what I needed

Very easy to set up mesh network, but also allows for advanced setting control like with traditional routers. Signal is great throughout the entire house. I wish it were possible to dictate which nodes a device can connect to, and at what bandwidth. But that is a relatively minor issue.

I replaced my r7000p with the Orbi. I am extremely happy with it. My Wi-Fi speed is significantly improved. I have no issues with dropping devices like I previously had.

Frustrated, now hopeful!

Difficult and complicated to install via a multiple stage process even if cell phone app utilized. Very difficult to get Tech support in a timely manner. Literally spent several hours on two calls to complete. Once established works well inside. Have yet to connect outdoor security to see if all will work!
