My Internet connection is 600Mbps. Before Orbi, maximum I could get was about 200Mbps on WiFi, but only if I connect to the router. Two other access points were not able to provide more than 120Mbps, and this dropper off if you are more than 3 feet from the access point. I have a couple of WiFi 6 clients, and could not take advantage of higher speeds. I stream everything and have ~40 devices connected at all times to WiFi. Unfortunately, no wired access.
I now have orbi AX4200 with router and 2 access points working for about a week, and it seems much better than the old system. On WiFi 6 clients, I can consistently get over 500Mbps regardless if I am connected to the router or the satellite. WiFi 5 clients are achieving between 250 and 350 Mbps, which is pretty good. I do not detect packet loss, and range is larger, so I can work from the back yard, fairly far away from any access point with no interruptions.
I hope it will stay as consistent as it was so far.

Product needs rebooting too often

The product worked very well and the range was as described but only for a week. The product now requires rebooting on a weekly basis which is infuriating.

I am really disappointed that the device is not really compatible with Spectrum. My connection was lagging and my cameras and streaming videos kept buffering.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better than described

I’ve never been a fan of Netgear but after spending hours researching for a set up that would work for my home due to multiple networks, construction of home and large mirrors on all closets I chose to give the Orbi a try. I was getting 20 Mbps at the farthest location in my home when I was paying for 200Mbps. All streaming would buffer when other devices were on same network. I upgraded to 400Mbps and that didn’t help. Setting up the Orbi and satellite took less than 15 minutes. I moved satellite into farthest location in home and consistently have 430Mbps. I am in awe of this product and its performance. The switch between 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz is so seem less unlike other devices. I’ve connected to the 2.4 and once I started streaming the Orbi automatically switched to the 5Ghz without any issue. I have over 16 devices that connect to my network and even with all the other networks from units around me causing co-channeling do not interfere with speeds. If you are looking for a new router set up I highly recommend the Orbi. I’m now a fan of Netgear. It’s worth the price. It surpasses all expectations I had and the Orbi out performs all other routers I’ve seen. I work for an ISP provider so I see all the so called top of the line routers and the Orbi is by far a more superior product. I’ve already convinced several coworkers to look into buying the Orbi. BUY BUY BUY!!!! Worth every penny!!!

With my old router I could not reach the pool patio. Even coverage in the house was spotty. The ORBI solved all of that. I am having unbelievable speed in the house and in the back yard.

I have only been using this for 4 days, but it has been the best wifi system ever. This is the third NetGear router I have owned. The Orbi is the first system to cover all of my 3,600 Sq. Ft. Home. I highly recommend this system

My WiFi worked fine with the WiFi router from my ISP, or so I thought. We have a 4K square foot home and a lot of the IoT devices were really laggy and had poor performance. The new Orbi wifi (ax4200) was night and day. The devices connect immediately and the resolution on the cameras are amazing. Unexpected bonuses were faster streaming of video with immediate high quality. No low res video until it buffers. No waiting for movies to load. And I work from home and the voice quality and video quality were much better over webex even though I was right next to the old router before the upgrade. I can also walk 80 feet away from the house and still be on pretty fast WiFi. I had heard the app was something others didn’t like but I found it just as good or better than competing apps. I was considering running Ethernet in my house for faster and more stable connectivity but now there is no reason. I would highly recommend this product.
