Powerful, reliable, fast and versatile

I was interested in upgrading my Orbi AC (RBK52) mesh system after moving to a tri-level home and securing a couple WiFi 6 devices as well as a modem capable of 1 Gb speeds. I watched reviews and did my research. I ended up up buying both the Orbi ax4200 3 pc system and a top competitors 3 router wifi6 mesh system. I used both systrms for a few days each, I measured speeds using ookla speed test at two points on my both lower levels, and three points on my top level. I placed the three Orbi units and the competitions units in the same spots for consistency. I recorded download, upload and ping for all and used an Exel spreadsheet and graph to measure - I have 500 mb internet speed w my provider, but rarely get 150-200 Mbs. With the Orbi my speeds at each point ranged from 470 to 575!! The competitor ranged from 160 to 550 - pretty good but not as consistant - the Orbi won every download battle! Uploads were between 32-37 and ping 6 to 15!!! Most were between 9-11!! The Orbi killed it. I don’t “need” these speeds but I like future proofing my tech purchases as much as I can. I work from home so it’s important for me to have reliable WiFi and internet. I do a lot of zoom and teams web meetings globally - I need reliability. I trust Netgear / Orbi. I’m a techy kind of guy with about 70 devices running on my Network. I have ring devices, cameras, security system Lutron WiFi switches, hue bridge and bulbs/light strips, Samsung smart things and Alexa in just about every room. I noted the competitors units ran hot - the Orbi remained fairly cool. I’m sold!! Very impressed!

Great WiFi signal

I had a constant issue of my WiFi signal dropping. My modem/router is on the second floor. Getting the signal to my garage was always a challenge. Often times it would loose the connection and would not reconnect. I now get a constant speed from the satellite receiver, just as if I was right next to the router. Well worth the money.

Best wifi enhancer for large house

My home is almost 10,000 sq. ft. so we always have a signal problem in certain areas of the house but this router solved all our problems

Netgear Orbi is outstanding...

After my old AX8 router gave up the ghost, I selected the Orbi WiFi6 system with a satellite. It gives me total coverage of my home (3K sq.ft. 2-story) and has improved my connect speed for all 16 plus items connected to the network. The Orbi has operated flawlessly for a month and the app and Web interface allowed me to easily manage port forwarding, etc. The app made initial setup a breeze.

Night And Day

The difference for WiFi in our house after installing the Orbi system is like night and day. Our TV was constantly buffering and we often lost WiFi connection in our home. Since installing Orbi, no more buffering on the TV and very fast WiFi throughout the house. One of the best purchases I ever made!
