I have owned this Refrigerator for 16 months now and have been happy with it until 2 weeks ago when it quit cooling and freezing and stuff started melting out on the floor! Never expected it to quit quite this soon. And it wouldn’t be so bad if there was any service offered! I bought a contract on this unit and you can’t get anyone to service it! Are these things just supposed to be disposable after just 16 months or what? I need a refrigerator that I can depend on. Guess GE is not it!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beautiful refrigerator

It is a beautiful refrigerator. The plastic around the edges won't come off though so we are stuck wirh tiny pieces of plastic everywhere. The refrigerator section is great and convenient. The freezer section is a little small, but the bins are deep, so it is hard to organize it so you can find everything.

Ice Maker doesn't work on new Refrigerator day 1

Second refrigerator, ice maker does not work on day of installation. Never buy another GE appliance as long as I live. Now I have to have a service man come out to fix a brand new ice maker.

Comes with NO instructions!

This product comes with NO instructions!!! It needs to at least let you know to expect to chill 24 hours and how long to dump the ice before it is safe to use. So poor!! My ice was dark gray..almost black!

Great refrigerator!

It took forever to finally deliver (2 full months), but when it finally arrived, we're loving it! It's a great size for our family of 4. Love the shelf organizers on both doors, which opens up more space for food storage in the main compartment. There is an alarm in case you accidentally leave the door ajar. Freezer size has been great, love the built in ice-maker. The only complaint is the plastic wrap that the fridge comes wrapped in, is a bit tricky to rip of cleanly. We still have some remnants stuck in the crevices of the fridge which are hard to pull out.

Great Fridge

The fridge space is massive compared to my last fridge, same overall dimensions. The freezer space is slightly less than my last freezer section of the fridge. The appearance is stunning and with two teenagers, the fingerprint resistance holds up well. Would recommend to a friend.

Nice fridge but it's not perfect

We like this fridge, just has some issues we were trying to avoid by doing extensive on-line research. It is noisy and all three doors are very hard to open. The counter depth definitely looks nice but takes away some storage space. Overall the functionality fits our needs better than the side by side we had before and it looks really nice. Our first freezer on the bottom so we're still trying to figure out how to best organize that space.

Love the fridge, the freezer not so much.

Fridge is great - lots of room, everything is adjustable, easy to get food in/out. Freezer is poor - very heave to pull out the drawer, hard to organize the food, lots of lost space from the ice-maker. Lots of plastic at the edges. I'm not sure if this is from shipping or part of the unit but it looks terrible and is a real pain to get rid of. Need a razor blade and lots of patience and shouldn't be something necessary by the purchaser.
