Beautiful Refrigerator

This is a great looking refrigerator. The doors, especially the freezer door, seal so well that it is difficult for my elderly mother to open them. This is my only complaint.

I bought this refrigerator to replace my GE side-by-side refrigerator and am very happy with my purchase. The only issues I have had is that I haven't gotten the unit to fully stop sliding out on its wheels when opening the freezer drawer. I think I need to adjust the leveling feet down a bit more.

Just received my refrigerator and the freezer is doing its job and freezing, but the refrigerator in not cooling below 61 degrees. I will need to return this refrigerator since I don't want to be stuck with a lemon.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What a refrigerator should be

We have had the refrigerator for 3 weeks and are happy with the looks and performance so far. 3 things keep this from being a 5 star review and most are fairly small. The one that is more concerning is the force with which you must pull to open the freezer. You can see the handle and freezer front give with the effort. I suspect this will be the reason for my first call to GE for support. Second I would be happy if GE could tell me how to get the remaining plastic shrink wrap out of the crevices of the fridge. Finally for supposedly being finger print resistant, it isn't.

The unit makes more noise than my old one. Bottom freezer drawer is hard to pull out and push back in.

A great design overall which offers a lot of storage. The freezer drawer takes some serious strength to open. I might have ordered the water/ice on the door if I had known beforehand.
