We've only had it for 2 days, but so far, we love it. The black slate finish looks great and the operating noise level is pretty good, about the same as our old one. The glass shelves and brackets feel sturdy. Door storage is great, and the doors/hinges feel robust enough to hold the heavy bottles of water, juice, etc. We especially like being able to access the left/right vegetable bins without having to open both doors (not the case on some other ones we looked at.) Freezer space is ample. We don't have a water line hooked up, so we can't speak to the ice maker or filter.

Great use of space!

This refrigerator is replacing an upright side beside of the same cubic size. The refrigerator can store about twice the old side by side could. The freezer portion is a tad bit smaller however, is able to store larger items than the old side by side model. I was concerned about not having a door ice and water dispenser when purchasing but that has been a non-issue at my house with the new refrigerator.

I’m not a paid reviewer or anything. Truth is, it’s been a great refrigerator. Chose this one cause it fits exactly in my cabinet opening. Lots of space, and good lighting. Not really any “cons” to this thing to list. The freezer is a bit hard to pull open, but I’m sure that’s for sealing reasons. And it’s slightly more noticeable in terms of sound when running, but again - nothing I’d consider bad. I would certainly recommend this if your looking to purchase.

Good basic refrigerator

Like all counter-depth refrigerators, it is expensive for basic features (no water, no ice in door), but the ice maker does a good job of making adequate ice for our family. Inside is well lit with plenty of storage compartments. The freezer door is very tight (difficult to open). Noises are typical with most refrigerators. Our last fridge (a different brand) had 6 service calls in 3 years (most for the ice maker). So far, so good with this one (after 1 month).

Love the Counter Depth!

I have a small kitchen so am extremely pleased with my new GE counter depth refrigerator. The five inch difference between the counter depth and the regular depth makes my kitchen look a lot larger. Thank you GE!
