So many ways to use this!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this for everything I have tried so far. It is easy to use, and a good size for me, as I live alone. My first attempt at a meal did not turn out well, but it was my own fault as I scanned the directions ad figured I knew what to do. After I read the instructions thoroughly, I had no other issues. I made stew, where I sauté the onions and meat, then add everything else and seal it up. 7 Minutes on high pressure, let it release on its’ own, and I have a perfectly cooked meal, with 4 or 5 servings. My rice was perfectly cooked and fluffy. I also made some beans, rinsed them, covered with water and pressure cooked them for 5 minutes and then let it release on its’ own and let them sit for a few hours.
You do have to be certain that the lid is in place and locked down, or it will not turn on. I think this is a safety precaution. Overall, I am very pleased with this 6 qt multi function pressure cooker. I want to try to make cornbread or banana bread next.

Makes meals a snap!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started using this Hamilton Beach electric pressure cooker last month. Being able to use one pot for sauteing vegetables, browning meats, and pressure cooking whole meals in one pan has seriously cut down on the dishes we do.
There are electric pressure cooker accessories online, that easily allow you to put your meal in layers. First meal was a rice pilaf with chopped veggies, and a delicious steamed salmon in a second layer. I was able to cook both dishes at once, and didn't have to tend to them once I pushed the button. It was well received by the family. 5 stars! Works great with wild rice too. I made a chili in it as well (sauted onions, garlic, then browned meat in pot insert) dirtying only the one pot. Then added tomatoes, beans, etc. The pot insert is so easy to clean.
This can replace your slow cooker, rice steamer, and stove top pressure cooker. There are even cake and bread recipes online I am anxious to try.
Selecting the pressure cooker mode cuts your cooking time 50-70%. I take a few minutes to prep all ingredients in the pot, and cover the top, and put in the refrigerator in the afternoon. This only takes a few minutes. When it is almost time for the family to get home from work, I turn on the pressure cooker, and forget about it. Dinner is ready in a snap!

EASY YO USE

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this pressure cooker. First time using a pressure cooker and the Hamilton Beach pressure cooker is easy to use. I made a steak. Used the browning feature, then put on the rack. Add a couple cups or water. The steak was so tender. It was great. I am making a list of foods to make in the pressure cooker. It is easy to use and clean up. I have always wanted a pressure cooker and it did not let me down. The 6 qt Multi function cooker by Hamilton Beach was my choice. I like you can brown and then cook in one container or do stews or soups. If you are looking for Pressure Cooker, I suggest you get this one.

So easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I owned a pressure cooker years ago. It was fast, but required constant watching to keep the pressure at the correct level. This Hamilton Beach Multi Function cooker is so convenient. It's automatic so all you have to do is add your ingredients and program it. The results are fantastic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just received this pressure/slow cooker combo and have used it once. I used the pressure cooker mode to make a batch of pinto beans and they were done in a much shorter time than just cooking them on the stove. I used the amount of liquid called for by the recipe instead of the amount recommended by Hamilton Beach’s instructions and ended up with a lot of excess water, so use the HB instructions when you can. The beans came out perfectly, and I just poured off the excess water. I’m looking forward to trying out some more recipes and trying the slow cooker mode. More to follow.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pressure cooker is so easy to use that I wonder why I didn't get one before now! I love all the different ways that I can use this pressure cooker. I have used it as a slow cooker to make chili and as a pressure cooker to make barbecue brisket in only two hours! I love the easy clean up since the inner pot can be removed and washed in the dishwasher! My regular slow cooker has a very heavy ceramic insert that makes it hard to clean. This pressure cooker has a substantial, light-weight insert that makes it very easy to remove (after it has cooled). I can't wait to make more easy recipes for dinner this week.
