Great hardware, terrible software

I bought this product having read the reviews regarding the poor software. I also thought Canon would update the software over time, but no luck thus far. It is really a shame! The hardware is great! The printer is stylish and I love seeing it in action. However, the software is quite lacking in terms of ease of use and functionality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The hardware is great. Image quality is OK (some misalignment in pigment gives a slightly soft effect, but not a deal breaker). The issue is that it can only be used with SELPHY Photo Layout app, and that is absolute garbage. It's very frustrating to use, and until Canon releases a better version (unlikely, as one-star reviews go back a year and Canon hasn't done anything to address it) I would not recommend purchasing this printer. I don't know what it will take for Canon to realize that software user experience is at times even more important that the hardware. They've dropped the ball with every application I've ever encountered, and I have used Canon products for 28 years.

Great Quality Pictures

I was a little nervous to purchase the product at first since it’s still new and there weren’t many reviews, but I was really pleasantly surprised. The quality of the photos are really good. The coloration is slightly different sometimes but not enough to bother me. If the lighting in the original picture is good, the picture comes out really great. If the lighting is a bit darker or the picture is a little blurry, it will come out less great, but that’s expected. And again, it doesn’t bother me. I also think it’s really cool to watch the photos be printed, it goes in and out of the printer a few times to lay the ink down. It was pretty simple to set up and I have had no issues with the app the printer uses (I have an IPhone8).

I liked it but I could never seem to find ink for it, it’s like this printer was never a thing because no matter how much time I take to find ink for it I can never find it. Do better

SUCK THE INK CARTRIDGE!!!!!

I bought this product like since 3 years but, it is waste money because NEVER CANT FIND THE INK FOR THIS! Why do you still sell the canon square qx10 with the ink incluid but NEVER SELL SEPARATE THE INK CARTRIDGE FOR THIS SQUARE QX10 while we was happy to enjoy with that. Sucks the INK
