Works for a while then issues but then died.

My wife bought this late last year2018 to be able to read in bed without having the main light on and it worked for a while then the on/off switch started acting up. We just changed batteries and it will only flash on/off but not turn on. We are going to contact Nite Ize to tell them about the issues that we have had with this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I’m very happy I got this it works very well. I see why people had trouble with having to hold the light button for it to stay on this happened to me. But I read the directions and fixed it.

No instructions on how to take off signal mode!

I love it but I broke the first one I bought trying to figure out how to take it off of signal mode! You have to hold it down for 15 seconds!

I've had my bug lit for several years and had to replace the batteries. I looked up a how to clip and watched it on u-tube. The batteries were fairly easy to replace. After replacing the batteries I couldn't get it to stay on unless I was holding the switch in. After reading through some of he other reviews I found you need to hold the switch down for at least 15 seconds. When I did that the light went out after about 15 seconds and now works perfectly.

I received this for a gift and the features looked great. However, it will not switch modes and I cannot get the light to stay on without holding the button down. I tried to register it so that I could pursue a warranty solution, but it does not show up on the list of products. I’ll have to take time to call and follow up. If it worked as it should have, the features would be very cool. Disappointed so far.

Hello, Our BugLit comes with a test mode to prevent the batteries from draining while in stores. This test mode is reactivated when the batteries are replaced. To deactivate test mode, press and hold the button down for 25-30 seconds. The light will turn off automatically. Once the light has turned off, it should resume to function normally. I've had this for a few years and loved it. batteries died and was sad to replace and not be able to make it work til I came to this site and saw in reviews how to re-set with 15 seconds of holding down the button. Planning to order these for my nieces and nephews!

Love it and use it alot, just blows me away how many dense consumers there are these days, Even with the Internet they leave a bad review before they figure out you need to reset after battery change,,, so many dummies these days it’s crazy….

Does not work after battery replacement

And before I get called dumb, yes, I held the button down for 15 seconds until the light turned off. That should have reset it, but it did not. I tried this several times. It doesn't stay on now unless I'm pressing the button. I've loved these lights and have owned several and am really disappointed. It seems this is a known issue, based on my reading in various forums and some reviews on here.
