Features not explained in manual.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The silver colored switch in the middle of each element seems to have no purpose. It is not described in any of the instructions and your technicians I contacted by phone were also of no help. Salesman told us that the switch would cause the element to turn off when a pan is removed but it does not function that way. Please tell me what this feature is for and send me a description of the feature. Thank you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oven gets hot fast, easy to use. My range top is cockeyed,it's not square which makes the door not totally square. Door still seals tight. Has some sharp edges. All in all good range.

Great temperature control

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new stove. It heats up quickly and cools down fairly quick. Much faster than a smooth top electric range. Cleanup is also easy. The oven temp is set perfectly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We maintained brand loyalty in the purchase of this stove. Our previous Whirlpool lasted us 25 years with only occasional and minor maintenance. We note already that the fit, finish and construction of the new stove is not as superior as in our previous appliance. My wife has cut her finger on one of the unfinished edges of the sheet metal and a slight deformation on the oven box means it's difficult to place racks in the highest position. The utensil drawer, construction wise, is a shadow of its former self in our first Whirlpool.
We are getting used to the midway pause when we boil water in our kettle but I am impressed with the keep warm feature in the oven.

Keep shopping, not this one

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Adequate, only way to describe it. The first one delivered the top ovenrack wouldn't fit in the oven. Dealer swapped it with a second one and the top rack just barely fit. Very hard to slide in and out. I will have to grind down the rack sides.
The burners have the center spring loaded button to automatically shut off after a certain amount of time. Problem is, a small frying pan with just butter doesn't weigh to hold the button all the way down so the pan tilts unless you rest a spatula on it.

Best feature is even cooktop ( burner) cooking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy at the way the burners cook evenly. I am still getting used to the oven as it seems to take longer to bake recipes than with my former whirlpool range ( 22 yrs old). So far, mid oven rack seems the best. When oven pre heats, it makes expansion noises. My old range did not do this. Am glad I saved my old racks as I am using them instead of the ones that came with the unit. For safety, I prefer to have rack slid out to test breads or whatever I am baking.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
