I bought this remote system for the extra added feature to be able to open my garage doors remotely. There have been times were my neighbor has called me to say I left my garage door open or to find my door open headed out to work the next morning. With Aladdin Connect, I can not only open/close my doors remotely but can set rules to close and opened door at or during specific time range(s). It also is compatible to my Google Assistant if I just want to speak my commands if I can't open the app to do so. Although the setup and installation video are good and very helpful, the process takes awhile to actually complete. I had to repeat a few steps multiple times mostly with the initial control unit setup and adding the door sensors but I highly recommend it!!

The hardware all seems to work OK. But the app is horrible. When it works it works fine, but it often crashes, I have to re-enter my password way too much, and sometimes it doesn’t work at all. It is a cool "toy" but completely unreliable as a way to enter my home.

It is comforting to know I can always check the status of my garage doors online and that I will be alerted every time they open or close. Plus, I can remotely operate them to allow entry if needed.

It’s easy to connect and sync the app. The instructions even have a mounting option on the supports for the opener. For a wall mount, the base unit is extremely large. That is only a draw back for aesthetics. The indicator lights are large and easily seen. You can open and close the door(s) from the app. It even indicates if the door is opened or closed. You receive a notification when the door opens and closes. Battery status is indicated.

Connection seems buggy when multiple devices are connected to Aladdin Connect, and often when starting up the app, I'm disconnected from the service and have to restart the app to get it working. That aside, it usually works. But the voice controls are not as expected. Yes, you can open and close the door with Google Home, but you can't just say "OK Google, open Garage Door" or whatever. You have to say "OK Google, talk to Aladdin Connect," then she starts talking, then you have to ask her to open/close the door. To complicate things even more, if you ask her to open or close the Garage Door, even if that's the name you gave it in the app, and even if that's the ONLY door you have connected to Aladdin Connect, it gets confused and says something like "We see a door similar to that name. If you want garage door, please say 1 and only the number 1." It does go faster if you just say "Open door", but then what's the point in naming the door? Point is, it should be more connected with Google Home that you can just say "open garage door." Please work on this.

There currently is not a smart home skill for using Alexa with the garage door opener so Aladdin Connect has a custom skill that provides you the ability to use Alexa with our App. After initial setup you can simply now just say “Alexa ask Aladdin Connect to open (insert door name). “ Full list of commands are below.
For the PIN after setup it can be disabled instructions below: Disabling your PIN: Simply say “Alexa: tell Aladdin Connect to disable my PIN”
- By disabling your pin, you are deactivating a feature meant to provide an additional level of security - Follow prompts: o "Please say your PIN to proceed" - Say your PIN o PIN has been disabled
