Must follow instructions! Once I followed instructions and did the setup next to my modem then move to the garage for final steps it made connecting very easy!

Doesn't work

I bought it today, created account, download android application and tried to add this controller to my new account, scanned S/N by QR code, but application said me S/N of my controller is unavailable (my be is used before).
So controller doesn't work/

Aladdin Connect Now Protects Our Vulnerable Garage

Great product – managed to install in a few hours, Wi-Fi is very robust, and the door sensor pairing was straight forward too. I followed the installation video and somehow got lost after the registration step – so I missed the Wi-Fi configuration 1st time through. But found the alternate web page route in the FAQ (maybe that needs more exposure), also took me a while to discover the Wi-Fi button on the device. I did contact the support site once to get guidance on the correct connections to my 2024 opener units – quick response and good advice. I did subsequently break a few fingernails enabling the wiring connections!
Overall, a worthwhile investment – now our skis, bikes and kayaks are less subject to an accidently open garage door event.

Fairly easy to install. The Garage Door Controller found and connected to my WiFi easily, but I had to try several times to get the Controller to connect to the Garage Door Sensor. It has been working flawlessly for several months. I like the fact that it confirms, on my phone, when the door is up or down.

I added this to a Genie garage opener that I've had for years, still works like a champ but had no smart home capabilities. After a few weeks, I'm really loving the new functionality. I like being notified when the door open/closes, being able to let friends in if need be from anywhere and the clean look of the install. I really only knocked one star off because wifi setup was a hassle, did not function as stated in instructions and did require contacting customer service. Hardware connection was easy peasy. Amazon echo skills work perfectly. Glad I added it!

Great Product but you need to know

It is a great product that was a no brainer install, is of high quality and works extremely well! There is only one wrinkle I did not think about. That is my garage door opener is spamming me! We have to open the door to go outside and I had no idea we needed to go in and out so much. For every exit or entry there are two messages . One telling you the door is open and one telling you the door is closed. This is exactly what it is supposed to do and what you want it to do.... For some reason in our house everyone seems compelled to go in and out a lot.
I am pointing this out so you know what to expect. We love the product and don't know how we got along without it. I used to worry when we left about whether or not I closed the door or if I didn't drive, where I put the remote. Well, no more... I'd recommend this for everyone!

This item is such a piece of junk. It has so many problems connecting & then once it finally connects, we continually get an error message of "timed out". It's beyond frustrating and I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.
