After pairing the wifi enabled door controller with the door position sensor, i was able to open the garage door with the Aladdin app on my phone. But for some reason the door controller and door position sensor become unpaired, and I am unable to close the door through the app.
I was able to pair the units again, and open the door using the app, but again it lost the pairing and i am unable to close the door using the app.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Makes your garage door smart with NO monthly fee

This kit had all the hardware needed to mount and deploy the system. The instructions were very straight forward and were supplemented by installation videos for every step. Setup of the software along with pairing the Aladdin Connect module with the position sensor went very smoothly. I do wish that the software allowed for geofencing, but from what I have learned, it is possible to do so with a Smartthings hub, which I am looking into. A much better system than MyQ, which charges for everthing.

Not sure why I waited so long to install this. It was much easier to install than expected. Works great. Instructions say it only works on 2.4g, not the case, it works on 5g Wi-Fi. I am very pleased.

Beware and Check unit for QR codbefore installing

Unit left factory without QR label that is supposed to be affixed to the back of unit. QR code is for connecting unit to app. I was told that I would need to purchase another unit.
