The product was easy to install, taking about 2 hours. Operation falls in line with what I expected. I like being able to check door status, open/closed and being able to operate the door remotely. Two problems I am having are; 1. The battery for the door sensor shows it is in need to be replaced even after I replaced it. I found if I remove the battery and reinstall it the battery shows as good. After a couple of hours it shows shows low. 2. My hand remotes and the remotes in my cars work intermittently. I’ve been in contact with customer service trying to resolve. Generally I’ve been pleased with Genie products.

Easy to install and works with older model garage door opener to make it "smart". However, after leaving the home and being on the road for less than a week, I started receiving error messages stating that the sensor battery (which was shipped with the product) was very low. Not sure if it will hold out until I return and I am not able to change it while I am away. This should be a quality control check before shipping.

Great idea for a product, but the execution has a few shortcomings.
1. The unit arrived with a dead battery in the door sensor.
2. The provided cable is not long enough to reach where I need it to in my normal-sized 2 car garage
3. It was not clear that my garage door opener requires an additional unit to function, #38013R. It's disappointing that this additional part costs almost the same as the retrofit kit in the first place.
