Easy to install. I had a couple of options of where to install it. It works with my Echo dot and the Aladdin app. I like that I can tell the status of my garage door anywhere I am and that I can open and close the door from any location.

It pretty good now. The wiring connection/ instructions were not the best took a little. And it took a day for the app to catch up the door would be up and the app would say it was down. But it’s good now.

Easy install, easy setup. Works as described. App is too simplistic. It would be nice to be able to change the notification sounds and to have a feature that triggered the garage to open when I pull in my driveway, using biometrics for security. Overall, I recommend, works very well and reasonably priced.

I wanted to find a way to verify that the door was closed after everyone had left, but this is so much more. Installation was a breeze on a recently installed Genie, but I see no reason why it could not work with just about any opener that has wires from a wall switch. The new app had some real growing pains - released way too soon, but the issues with sensor battery strength and position reporting have been smooth for the last few months. The unit is so neat that I almost wish I had two doors (it will control 3) instead of the double door for my 2-car garage.
A couple of caveats though. 1) Don't chuck your old remote. Unfortunately, the unit draws AC power, whereas my Genie opener has a battery backup. However, even if they could get the Connect to draw off the battery, it still needs an Internet via WiFi to work, so If the neighborhood power is knocked out, it won't work without some serious UPS's in the network. Of course, here in Florida, the chances that a blackout will happen during the thunderstorm that you want to avoid having to dash from your car to the keypad opener during are pretty high. 2) the FAQs are very out of date. For instance, they talk about adding new users for family or temporary/restricted access. The "Users tab" no longer exists - you now create and hand out virtual keys; support still has a lot of catching up to do.
