I would rate this better but the initial connection to wifi was quite difficult. Since I got it properly connected everything it has worked reliably and can recommend it for an older garage door opener. My opener is older but works well so this is a nice upgrade and can now open the door from my smart phone.

There are many options out there for smart garage door openers, but after considerable research, I settled on the Aladdin Connect controller. Since I have a Genie garage door opener, I thought this would be a good fit and I liked the fact that it was hard wired to the opener rather than being just another remote garage door opener that would accept commands from a smartphone app.
All the little bits and pieces I needed to complete the installation were included in the controller kit. I thought this was a nice touch. The included installation instructions and the installation video were very clear on the options available to connect the controller along with detailed step by step instructions to complete the installation.
The Aladdin Controller kit is very high quality and is performing just as it was described. I'm really satisfied that I selected this controller.

I love your device. it works great! I love having the ability to know if one of my garage doors is open when I am away. I also love having the ability of opening the door and not worrying about the remote needing a battery. A bit dicey getting it all set up but more of that is my lack of technical skills than your device.

Clarify better that door 1, door 2 and door 3 on the wall console is hard programmed. That is if you use door 3, you have to pair the door sensor used to the door 3 button on the console. I only have 2 doors. Discovered if I wanted to use the far right button and leave the center button blank, the sensor must be
paired with either 3rd button. Took me awhile to figure it out.

I have an older Genie screw-drive opener and recently purchased the Aladdin Connect retrofit kit. It was very easy to install and setup. The instructions were very helpful and in less than an hour I can see if my garage door is open or closed from anywhere. Never have to worry about leaving the door open again and if I do I can shut it remotely from the phone app. Highly recommended product.
