Freezer has problems

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a cute, perfectly sized refrigerator for our small kitchen. The only problem we are having is the ice freezes into a solid block, icicles hang down from freezer ceiling, and frosty ice freezes onto the ceiling of the freezer which has to be scraped off every couple of weeks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great for old folks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a bottom freezer,counter depth model and find it to be much easier to access than my old style was. This style is so much easier for an old person get things from back in the rear of the unit and from the freezer.

My new fridge doesn’t cook.

Good features, poor manufacturing, good warranty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our fridge was purchased in fall 2020 amidst COVID manufacturing shortages and we waited until winter for it to be delivered. By the last week of June 2021, we had trouble keeping the fridge compartment at temperature (it was too high). A Whirlpool repair tech was sent out as part of the warranty (thank you!) and discovered that there were some controls needed to assist the freezer in defrosting that were not installed, leading to the air being blocked to the fridge or some such thing. Because those parts are unavailable, WP is now going to send us a new fridge. So they do have a very responsive and responsible warranty program and we appreciate that a lot.

On the other hand, we love the retractable shelf and drink caddy, and find that it holds a great deal more than our last fridge by another maker of the same size. The fridge door shelves hold a lot, are easily cleaned and are really as adjustable as they seem online.
The ice maker unit cannot easily be removed, so if you wanted to just use the full top shelf in the freezer, you cannot do so, as it has a hole in it for the ice to drop through. It would be nice to design the shelf so it can do either.

My biggest regret of 2020

I was so excited when I sae this sleek modern system at HomeDepot with the right dimensions for my old cottage home with very narrow entry ways.
The unit was manufactured January 2020. I purchased in June 2020
Delivered in July 2020
Freezing and electronic issues started in October 2020. They refused to just accept that repair was not the right course. This after 4 tech visits to the home, the last guy left exposed wires. Parts ordered the wrong door. Ive beem waiting 2 months for 5 parts. I was told just last week from the repair or parts division that remaining unshipped parts are not available and now, FINALLY, I will get a new unit versus futile attempts to repair.
I do not trust Whirlpool's manufacturing. I hate that I cant just get my money back to purchase another brand. I need a narrow fridge. This is practically their only unit that fits through my Narrow doorways.
What are my options if I am done with this company after this experience????

More pros than cons

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a small kitchen, so we wanted to down size our appliances. our kenmore frig and range did well for 30 years, but both needed serviced, so we thought it was time to replace them. So we looked for smaller refrigerator/freezer units, we came across the one, after purchasing a Whirlpool Dryer. We have had it up and running for a little under 2 weeks now. It’s a great frig. The features for us were a big plus, now that my wife and I are the only ones living here. The bottom freezer is great, ice maker a plus, but the storage drawer layout is what I like most, we also recovered 8 ft of square footage! It’s not a perfect appliance, the settings for freezer and fridge have preset settings. Ak(43, 39, 36, 34).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great style, very new, we’ll see

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a very small kitchen that was decades outdated. The big beige refrigerator was the only thing you could see. This beautiful, stainless, counter depth, 24” refrigerator changed the whole look of the renovation. I love it!!
That being said, i Did not give it five stars for a couple of reasons. Other reviewer‘s said that food froze in one area at the back of the refrigerator and the produce and freezer drawers were cheap plastic bins. That is true, however as I’m the only one using it I can decide what gets placed where in the refrigerator and it’s unlikely that I will be abusing the drawers like kids might. They could have trimmed out the drawer edges to assure durability.
But there are many things that I love about the refrigerator. First of all it looks great, it has a very euro style which goes well with my renovation. There there’s a lot of room in this refrigerator… Plenty of shelf space, very good arrangement on the door and it holds a lot. The freezer is more than adequate for me, the icemaker works great. It is very quiet! I love the bright LED side lights. Overall it’s a win. As I said in the subject line, it’s only been in use for a couple of weeks and I hope there are no issues that others have Add. So far I love this refrigerator
