Happy with my Range

Concerns

I've only had my new range for two weeks and have cooked on the glass top five times. I have been very careful to not move the pans along the glass top so as not to mar the finish. However, after cooking on one burner only once, I found a couple of marks on the surface that I have not been able to remove. They're very obvious (to me) and make me regret purchasing a glass top range. I also find that the 'hot surface' light goes off while the surface is still not cooled to a level where you could comfortably touch the surface.

We’re so sorry to hear about the concerns with the cooktop’s surface, and we’re happy to provide some great tips to try!
Normally, we recommend using a ceramic cooktop cleaning crème prior to the first use of the appliance. It makes future cleanup easier and leaves a protective finish on the glass that helps prevent any scratches or abrasions. If this hasn’t been done, we’d recommend trying it now as it could help with the appearance of the current marks. Most of these cleaners could be found at local grocery or department stores and you can find information on the use in the User Guide provided with your appliance. When cooking, make sure no coarse particles like salt or other hardened soils are caught between the cooking surface and the pots/pans being used, and also check that all pots/pans are completely smooth on the bottom to help reduce any chance of scratching. The hot surface indicator like should only be turning off when the surface has reached a safe temperature. If it seems like the hot surface indicator life isn’t operating correctly, please make sure to connect with us via the Live Chat feature on our website or through our Customer Support line at 1-800-374-4432 Monday through Friday between 8:30 am until 8:00 pm EST. Completes our new kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We're getting our kitchen totally redone and what better way to finish off a new kitchen? New appliances! We've owned Frigidaire in the past so we went with what we know. We've always had a gas stove and when we moved everything was electric. We found it very difficult to control the heat like we used to. Turns out it was the old stove. The first time we used our new one we noticed a huge difference. The elements are so much easier to control and get the temps just right. The dials on the front are so much better than on the back. The elements heat up quickly and cool down fast making it easier to cook certain things. The oven also preheats a lot faster. I went from hating electric stoves to loving our new Frigidaire.
