Great features but poor surface cleaning

Overall the range has performed as we expected but has proven to be difficult to clean the surface. In only a couple of weeks the stove top surface has blemishes/stains that won't come off. We did not have this issue with our previous glass surface (Kenmore). We used both the cream and spray cleaners from Weiman with poor results. It is unsightly and I am concerned it will only worsen over time. It may affect the efficiency of the cook top over time as well.

Great Stove!

This stove heats evenly, cleans easily & bakes beautifully. I am very happy with my purchase.

My only complaint is that you can not clean the top of the stove with regular dishsoap or 409 to get the grease off. You have to buy special glass cleaner for this stove top. Other than that everything else works great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was an upgrade from a 30 year old electric range. We elected a freestanding electric to put the controls in front instead of behind (keep from getting burnt). So far, awesome product. The oven heats/cooks more evenly but it does take longer to pre-heat than with our old one (maybe cause it's bigger).
The stovetop is elegant but is very challenging to keep clean and shiny as it smears with any kind of use. I developed a cleaning process that seems to work-so far. After the stovetop cools, I clean with vinegar and paper towels. Then spray it with a stovetop cleaner and wipe clean with paper towels, and then buffed to a shine with a microfiber cloth. Additionally, I recommend investing in a rubber or silicone cover. It helps somewhat protect your stovetop and maintain all your cleaning work.
