[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’re very pleased with our new gas range. We love the way it cooks. The only issue I’m having is cleaning the porcelain top. I’m use to stainless steel. Love the porcelain top just need to find a good cleaner to use.

Loved initially but now, not so sure.

This is my 2nd Gallery gas range. This model GCRG3038AF replaced one that was close to 14 yrs old. It has some new features but I liked it because it was familiar. I had been using the stove about a month, the burners often, the oven several times and the broiler once but just briefly. I was mixing cookie dough and had turned on the oven to preheat at 375 when there was a loud "boom"! I looked through the glass door and there was a raging fire. Smoke and noxious odors filled the room. I turned on the exhaust fan, opened windows and doors while my husband scrambled for the fire extinguisher. Thankfully we were able to douse the flames with whatever that powder is in the extinguisher. But what a mess to clean up. The service man came the next day and has ordered a new broiler tube and oven floor. He's scheduled to replace them next week. That's three weeks from "ground zero"...three weeks without an oven or broiler...in a stove that's now 2 months old.
