only 2 sizes of burners

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The smooth glass top is very difficult to keep shiny and clean. I am also afraid of scratching it inadvertently. I would prefer a glass surface that appears textured in order to hide minor issues. There are only 2 sizes of burners, small and large. What happened to medium? Cannot really tell the difference with convection oven going on or not.

Hi Katz 03!
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedback.
Prior to using your cooktop for the first time, apply a ceramic cooktop cleaning cream (available in most hardware, grocery and department stores) to the ceramic surface. Clean and buff with a clean paper towel. This will make cleaning easier when soiled from cooking.
You are able to locate any cleaning tips in the Use and Care Guide that comes with your range on page 37.
The convection cooking uses a fan to circulate hot air around the oven and food. It browns food more evenly and reduces hot spots in the oven.
We certainly hope this helps!
Should you still have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact us at 1-888-203-1389 Monday-Friday 8am-8pm EST and Saturday 9am-6pm EST at your convenience.
Kindly-CiCi

Overall satisfaction

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This range is about what I would expect. The only thing I do not like is the glasstop on it. I have always had glasstops and this is the worst, by far. There are a couple of white spots that I can see are in the glass and that was prior to ever using it. The top marks easily and even using cleaner and washing the heck out of it, it still looks terrible. I have only cooked on it 5 times or so and I feel it looks older than the one I just gave away that was 16 years old.

Oh no, djd7258! I hate to hear that your cooktop is not easy to clean. It is recommended that you apply a cooktop cream to the cooktop prior to using it. That makes it easier to clean in the future and leaves a protective finish on it. For light to moderate soil, we recommend using a cooktop cream like CeramaBryte and a dry paper towel. For heavy soils, use the cooktop cream and a non-abrasive cleaning tool. These tips can be found on page 37 in your Owner's Manual. If you still need assistance, please call us directly at 1-888-203-1389 M-F from 8a-8p or Sat from 9a-6p EST. ~ Brandi

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All in all this is a good range, however we are not happy with the cook top. It's hard to keep clean and is easy to make marks on it that do not go away.

Response from frigidaire.comBy Courtney, Online Outreach Specialist, May 16, 2018
We definitely appreciate your feedback, LFence. I recommend applying a few drops of the Cerama Bryte cooktop cleaning crème directly to the cooktop. Use a paper towel or a microfiber sponge to clean the entire cooktop surface. Make sure not to leave any residue. I hope this helps! Good features, but with drawback

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this (our 1st glass top stove) for 6 weeks. Good-looking, but a couple deficiencies. 1) stove-top requires constant cleaning to keep looking good, & 2) oven requires much more time to pre-heat than our old one, & doesn't show how much time is remaining for the pre-heating, as our old one did.

Response from frigidaire.comBy Brandi, Online Outreach Specialist, May 31, 2018
Hi, Creekblesser. We appreciate your feedback. Ovens with hidden bake elements tend to take a little longer to preheat. You can expect it to take around 10-17 minutes to preheat to 350F. Keeping the door closed during this time will minimize the time required. While we cannot implement all suggestions we receive, we will continue to use valuable input like yours to improve the quality and design of our products moving forward. ~ Brandi

Looks nice in my new kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looks really pretty in new kitchen. However, this is the 2nd glass top range I've had, and for some reason, this one is very difficult to clean. The normal marks left by pots and pans take alot of scrubbing to remove. I clean as soon as top cools, and have used 3 different cleaners, and have the same trouble with all cleaners. I have not issue with the performance, just disappointed on how long it takes it to look clean

oven

The oven is very good, however, the cook top sucks, very hard to keep clean, and I wish I would have gone with a gas unit, and had the gas line stub installed. Gas is 20 times better than electric.

We are saddened to hear that you are not content with your appliance, Ron.
Prior to using your cooktop for the first time, it is recommended you apply the cooktop cleaning cream to the ceramic surface and buff with a non-abrasive cloth or pad.
The cooktop cleaning crème leaves a protective finish on the glass to help prevent scratches/abrasions, and it makes cleaning easier when the cooktop gets soiled from cooking.
For light to moderate soil:
*Apply a few drops of the cooktop cleaning cream directly to the cooktop.
*Clean the surface with a Multi-Purpose No Scratch Scrub Sponge thoroughly without leaving a residue.
For heavy, burned on soil, repeat the steps above applying pressure when cleaning as needed. It is not recommended you use the sponge to clean your cooktop for any other purpose.
If soils remain, carefully scrape soils with a metal razor blade scraper, holding the scraper at a 30-degree angle to the surface. Remove the loosened soils with the cleaning cream and buff surface clean.
Also, melted plastic or foods with a high sugar content spills need to be removed immediately to prevent permanent damage.
I would recommend using our Cerama Bryte Complete Cooktop Cleaning Kit. If you would like to purchase this kit through us, please click on the link below or contact our Parts Division at 800-599-7569.
Kindly,
Maggie
