Freestanding Electric Range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was totally disappointed in the cooktop on this range. It is horribly difficult to clean. I've previously had a cooktop for over 15 years, and it was wonderful. It was a black & white speckled top, which cleaned excellently. This totally black top is impossible to clean. No matter what I do, it never totally looks clean. The oven works well. It seems hotter than my previous one, but that was over 15 years old. Unfortunately, we use the cook top much more often. I wish I had gone with my previous brand.

Note that prior to using your cooktop for the first time, we recommend applying a ceramic cooktop cleaning cream (we have a Frigidaire ReadyClean™ Glass and Ceramic Cooktop Cleaner) to the ceramic surface. Clean and buff with a clean paper towel. This will make cleaning easier when soiled from cooking. Cooktop cleaning creams leave a protective finish on the glass to help prevent scratches and abrasions. Additionally, check out the Cooktop Maintenance section of your Use and Care Guide for tips on removing light to moderate and heavy, burned on soil. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great stove overall! Oven cooks nicely and evenly. Burners up top cook a bit hot but once we got used to using lower settings it’s fine. Quick boil feature is nice. Cleans up nicely if you use the proper stove top cleaner.
