Much Louder than my previous GE compactor. There is no way to stop it in the compact position.

Stop working after 4 months

compactor very disappointed

compactor will not shut off automatically. sometimes it will and other times it wont.

GE Compactors Real Workhorses for 37+ years

This is the 3rd new home that we have installed a GE Trash Compactor. This has spanned from 1986 to December 2023. (37 years) and none of them ever broke. Real work horses

Trash Compactor - Can't live without it!

This trash compactor is very strong and allows us to only use 1-2 trash bags per week for a family of 2. The convenience of limiting trips to trash is worth the cost of this machine. The clean lines match our modern kitchen design well. Highly recommend.

Doesn’t keep trash compacted

The compactor smashes the trash for a hot second and then releases so trash doesn’t stay compacted. It should have a feature that keeps trash compacted until you are ready to add more trash
