Excellent product and fine installation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our new compactor is very well designed. The new bags fit much better than the older model's paper bags, and the mechanism for starting the compactor is less problematic and easier to use, compared to the older model.
The 2 men who installed the compactor were very efficient.

Trash compactor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] GE is quickly becoming one of my least favorite brands of product to buy. This trash compactor does not come with a press and hold option and it is very cheaply made and poorly designed. There is a foot pedal that operates everything that is plastic. And insanely that is not even the failure point. The failure point is the thin metal that it connects to that has failed after less than a year of use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
