Keeping my trash under control

I have not had a trash compactor for 5 or so years. when we remodeled our kitchen, I bought a trash compactor. I use it several times a day and I am happy that my trash doesn't fill up my garbage can outside - the trash compactor keeps my trash under control. I am very thankful that I have this trash compactor.

Great Item

I have had a trash compactor for many years and for me, it is an important kitchen appliance. When mine finally gave up the ghost, i purchased this one. I am very pleased with the compactor. The bags are a little expensive. But overall, I'm very happy with my choice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very light. Does not compact well at all

My 30 year old Sears compactor was far better. This GE brand does not compact well. No extra compact feature to get extra compaction. Not happy at all

Have used less than a month and it is already broken. RAM tilted and tearing up the trash can knocking screws off the sides. Called the company requesting a replacement and they offered a service call. Less than a month - the least they could do is replace their defective product.

Not so good.

Keeps failing

I got a brand new GE Profile compactor to replace a 15 year old GE monogram compactor that finally wore out. The new one failed within the first month - just stopped compacting. After waiting a month,I received a new unit. This one has now failed just like the first one. I have now waited another month and the warranty service guy just confirmed it is indeed broken and I need a new one. I will probably have to wait another month. So unacceptable and not like GE. Very disappointed in how long it is taking to get a working machine.
