We are very unhappy with this GE universal trash compactor! The pedal is very floppy and it ended up breaking down the first week we had it.
Finally got a repair man to come take a look at it and he determined that he needed to order a new switch. Been waiting for that part for two weeks now! So I’ve had this trashcan picked her over a month and I’ve only used it one week in total. I would never recommend this to anyone!

New trash compactor

It does what it is supposed to do compact trash. We purchased this unit to replace an older one. The one negative is that it is a lot louder than the GE Profile compactor we replaced.

Broken down twice

We’ve owned two compactors that were by a different brand. They lasted for years. This GE has broken down twice and we have owned it for less that 4 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
