Does not crash the trash Usually requires 3 activations of the foot peddle.

We're sorry to hear that your trash compactor is not crashing on the first activation. We understand how that can be concerning. If there is little compaction then make sure that the drawer is at least half full and that there is no trash stuck between the ram and the basket. If your compactor continues to give you trouble, please consider scheduling a service appointment.

A good machine as stepdown from our previous machine however for the cost and availability. Wanted a different brand but the other company could not provide in over 2 years.

Extremely loud in operation. Very light crush force. Impossible to anchor to my cabinetry to keep it from moving.

Love that the compactor can be operated with my foot! I have had a GE compactor since 1978. I finally had to replace it this year. I like the changes: rectangular basket, foot operated, sleek look. I would definitely recommend this appliance!

We had the older ge 15” compactor lasted over 10 years with a lot of use. Confident and looking forward to another 10 years

I had this same before this one; it had plastic gears that wear out. The life of it was 7 years.

I have had a trash compactor that was installed when the house was built over 30 years ago. It finally gave out. This new replacement is good looking, efficient, and quiet. I love it! It was a good choice.
