This is a great frig for the money it’s simple no bells and whistles which is what I wanted We have hard water so no ice maker hook up was needed .. Not a fan anyway always too soft in my opinion.. Nice size shelves easy too clean .. LED lights inside are good and bright Would buy again !
It's just too noisy. We have an open plan kitchen/living space and I'm disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello edg4741 - We appreciate you taking the time to write a review on your refrigerator. Your comments are important to us and we appreciate your feedback.
New refrigerators do sound different from older refrigerator models. They now have more features and use newer technology, such as a new high efficiency compressor which runs faster and longer than your previous model. You may also hear a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound while it is operating, which is completely normal. Please take a look at page 45 in your manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60792-3.pdf
We hope this information is helpful. We appreciate your business and will certainly share your feedback with our product team.
We have only had this a few months but we really love how big it is. We can see everything when we open the doors and it is all at a comfortable height. The freezer on the bottom is easy to see in also. We also like the digital temperature shown on the door. We know it is at the proper temp. At 0 degrees the ice cream was hard as a brick. At 4 degrees it is just right. Nice to be able to acurately adjust the temp.
Ours is only a few months old, but operating quite well - quiet, well controlled temps, ample storage. I was attracted to the efficiency of the Twin Chill design, and had dealer pursue locating this model even though it ceased production right after initial selection. My wife and I judge door dispensers as low utility value and using up excess space. The apparent market emphasis of this model (large capacity/low-frills) met my priorities. It went a bit far though, 1.) requiring follow-on purchase for even customary shelving as a butter/dairy tray and freezer door shelf which are strangely not provided. 2.) We bought an entire GE suite for our remodel, and the only unmet wish was for availability of normal (polished) stainless in a "no fingerprint" finish. Also, the full width compartment would have been a welcome feature if it had kept 'Temperature Controlled Drawer' feature of some more expensive model(s). 3.) As it stands it is very inconvenient, requiring opening both doors for every use. Another set of two separate drawers would have been much preferred just as the 'Fruit' and 'Vegetable' drawers above it. In all about a 92 score. Closer to 5 stars than 4. Pros Brand expected fit and finish, ample capacity, little unusable space Cons Short-shrifting a few basic convenience features (costly to add back), every bit the fingerprint magnet as the 10-year old GE we're upgrading
