Lots of room

Purchased this refrigerator because it had upgraded interior drawers that have drawer glides, and does NOT have water and ice through the door. It has a lot of interior room. The bins in the door are really deep and hold lts of items. I took off one star because when running, it has a low pitch hum. It isn't intrusive, but we do notice it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Please Consider another Brand

The color Slate is really nice. Four years ago I replaced all the Kitchen appliances with GE Slate. This refrigerator is very noisy. The fan in the fresh food compartment lays horizontally in the lower back area. Being horizontal allows ice to easily form on the fan blades. This allows the fan blades to be unbalanced and ruins the fan motor, which then becomes very noisy. The fan has been changed four times do date. Now the foam around the fan and on the back wall of the refrigerator has become soaked with moisture from condensation. The parts are not available, so the refrigerator is being replaced. The problem is that GE only has the Slate Color. This same design is used in all GE French Door Refrigerators. I will need to find the best brand with a complimentary color because it wont match. I also just replaced the printed circuit boards that had both failed in the Slate colored dishwasher. GE is not GE of old. They are only using the name.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
