I selected this model and finish because I did not want ice or water in the door, the three door setup is what has worked for our family in the past, and the Slate finish seems sturdy and fingerprints do not show on any exterior surface, except the handles. It meets all expectations of a well designed refrigerator as far as flexible storage, slim adjustable shelves and bright LED lighting. I am absolutely pleased that the door can hold two gallons of milk on one shelf - that was a must. However, we have noticed a couple of annoying things. 1) This refrigerator runs loud, as we never really noticed our old fridge even running. 2) All the doors seal so well, that when we pull the freezer door out, the entire fridge rolls with it, requiring two hands - one to hold it in place and the other to pull the handle. ( My son has adopted the maneuver of placing the top of his head on the fridge handles to brace it when he pulls the freezer door open.) I can pull and push this fully loaded appliance out from its proper place by myself. I never could do that with the old fridge. We are contemplating placing some sort of stop/ brace to correct this problem. Overall, we've only had it 2 weeks, time will tell if it was a wise choice.
The good looks of this refrigerator is only a precursor for what lies inside! Tons of storage space, plenty of shelf space, a deep freezer that holds a lot of food as well as has a space for an ice-maker!
we love the below cabinet freezer and the french doors. Only problem is wish we could have gotten white, but they told white is not a popular color and very hard to get. But this slate color isn't bad either.
