Simple yet elegant and roomy!

If you want a roomy fridge and don't need all the bells & whistles ( that break and cause angst down the road) then consider this model. It feels solid when opening and closing the doors. Gone are the days of "silent" refrigerators but this model simply has a low-tone background hum when it cycles, nothing annoying, high pitched or noticeable unless your home is dead quiet. ( we had another brand that banged and popped loudly and scared people when it did!) The SS does smudge, as do the handles, but we knew this. We needed SS to avoid changing out expensive ovens. There are newer, matte finishes but this model did not come with that choice ( black slate).. darn it! However, with hardwood floors, we opted out of the ice maker & water in the door to avoid damage to the floors and gain a great deal of additional storage in the door. It makes a big difference not having all the contraptions up top. The ice maker in the freezer does a great job and will not jam up like older models with ice in the door used to do. We live in the NW so our tap water ( filtered) is plenty cold so we don't need water in the fridge.
We've only had our refrigerator a few weeks so hope we are as happy 10 years from now! Lastly, we bought it on line through Sears and got such a good price, our local appliance dealer said to go ahead and order it as it was below their cost!

I bought this refrigerator because my wife wanted a French door with a bottom freezer...whatever mama wants! I really like the layout and love the fact that I don't have a water & ice dispenser in the door to break. This unit seems to be of decent quality. Not quite up there with some others I've owned but decent enough for the price. I may have even given it five stars if it was a little quieter. This has the noisiest compressor of any fridge I've owned.

We bought this refrigerator freezer for our family of 9. It was delivered with a scratch along the inside ceiling. However, other than the scratch, we absolutely love the frig! It's big and because it doesn't sacrifice internal storage space in order to have all the bells and whistles. We'd rather have room than a door water and ice dispenser. We love the larger ice storage in the freezer! It's just perfect all the way around. Hope it lasts.

Have had the Refrig for 2 months. Bought to replace a high end Samsung. Wanted an uncomplicated Refrig with ice maker in freezer to allow more space in Refrig and cut down on repairs. No water dispenser but not important to us. I miss some of features such as a split shelf, no dairy compartment but I knew this when purchasing but really disappointed in no shelving on inside of freezer drawer for small items and pizza. Can hear the compressor but does not really distract. Like the simplicity and quality.

Love everything about my refrigerator, color , texture of the doors. at the bottom. I looked a very long time at all kinds of refrigerators. When I open the door and filled the security and the tightness I was convinced this was the refrigerator for me. It had all the teachers I was looking for .

Love our new refridgerator!

Our old fridge quit working two weeks before Thanksgiving. It was made by a different manufacturer with all the bells and whistles, but had recalls and other problems for the eight years it was in our home. We have slowly been replacing our appliances to GE. I am SO happy with this refrigerator and the other GE appliances we have! Thank you, GE, for making high quality products!
