I bought this because the GE refrigerator I owned when I got married lasted over 20 years. Unfortunately I bought a different brand after the GE but I am so glad to have a GE again.

We decided to go with this model because of the features! I can honestly say I've only had a couple days and I love it. Lots of room (almost to big) but love the color, size, and features.

A few frustrating features

Love the lower freezer & roomy French doors & amount of space in the refrigerator. Very disappointed in the ice maker, very loud when it fills and it overflows the ice. Also, the wide drawer in the refrig does not close completely without a last "hard" push. We have gotten used to it but guests don't realize it and have trouble closing the refrig doors if the drawer is not closed completely.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the look, and its got SO much space

We just installed our fridge this week and LOVE it! The finish is great. We already have a filtered water system at our sink, so I'm glad there was a unit that didn't have that feature in the door - saved a bit of money and extra space to not have that on the fridge. Plus I don't like the look of water filters on the outside. There fridge space is so, so much bigger than the Kenmore we were replacing. Love that - tons of space for fresh veggies. The drawer freezer is a little hard to organize, but that is all drawer freezers. Love the big wide open shelves in the fridge that stretch across. Tons of door space too. Most of all I love the Slate finish.
I would recommend this to a friend!
