Great look Frige

Our old refrigerator went out 5 days before Thanksgiving. We've had this refrigerator about 30 days, its our 1st French door. Its about 2cf smaller than our side by side. I don't notice the
difference. I actually like the freezer on bottom, seems like more space and more organized. The finger print resistance really works, it's so great. I am happy with the purchase.
There are some draw backs to this model, I would not recommend this to families that keep lots of tall or gallon size items. Both doors have non-adjustable shevles. On the door in door side, just 1 of the 3 shelves will hold a milk gallon or tall items. The bottom shelf will hold tall items but not a gallon. The top shelf will hold items the height of a standard bottle of water. All 3 shelves will hold a lot. The other door has very shallow shelves because of the hidden icemaker. The interior shelves are adjustable but the configuration options are limited, no tall items. The "quick space" shelve is useful but best for temporary tall stuff. To configure my interior for my family's use, I had to remove one of the shelves. There is no designated space for eggs in this frige, so I purchased a rolling container to hold my eggs, I don't like them to stay in the carton. Over all I do like this refrigerator. Hope this helps

I've need a fridge for awhile. This one has some cool features I love. The shelf that moves so I can add larger items is a great plus. The lower freezer is huge. Looks great too!

Never became colder than 50 degrees

This model is great however the actual one we received is defective. Not able to reach cold temperature lower than 50 degrees. Replacement not available for20 days. Long time to live out of a cooler

GE no longer good company

I see this is no longer being made. As someone else said, it is noisy, the fan that moves the air went out in under 2 years. The lights in ours went to very dim about 5 months ago. Eve getting an undamaged appliances from GE was a problem. We had to reject delivery on the 1st refrigerator, reject the 1st cooktop, and microwave as all were damaged. The company I work for used GE appliances for years and left GE due to problems. GE was once a fine reputable company, but no more sadly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Caveat emptor

Delivered with “door in door” function inoperable (would not latch shut), there’s an obvious gap in the gasket on one door that seals against the body of the fridge, the fridge doors are nowhere near parallel and the best part - the unit DOESN’T COOL. Let it run nonstop for the recommended 24 hours and the inside of the unit was warmer than the room temp. So I had to call service to schedule a tech to come to the house to HOPEFULLY fix all the issues with this unit - or get me a new one on order. So I get to rearrange my work schedule to be here to deal with this. If the initial quality is this bad for a fridge in this price range I can only imagine how the other models must be!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A place for everything!

I researched different refrigerators for months, read reviews, compared pricing, colors, etc. And decided to once again go with GE Profile. Our previous fridge was also GE Profile (15 yrs old). We are extremely pleased w/the refrigerator and the capacity is wonderful! Ample room for veggies, dairy and meats in temp controlled drawer. Adjustable shelves allows for different container height needs. With the ice maker is door, the door shelves are narrow (1#box of butter fits well). Overall, very jappy w/fridge.
