Very nice fridge. It's huge from the one we had before and we love it! We always get the ice cubes for our beautiful coffee machine for Frappuccinos and it's amazing how it keeps our meat and veggies fresh all the time

Caveat emptor

Delivered with “door in door” function inoperable (would not latch shut), there’s an obvious gap in the gasket on one door that seals against the body of the fridge, the fridge doors are nowhere near parallel and the best part - the unit DOESN’T COOL. Let it run nonstop for the recommended 24 hours and the inside of the unit was warmer than the room temp. So I had to call service to schedule a tech to come to the house to HOPEFULLY fix all the issues with this unit - or get me a new one on order. So I get to rearrange my work schedule to be here to deal with this. If the initial quality is this bad for a fridge in this price range I can only imagine how the other models must be!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Side-by-side GE Profile refrigerator

In general I love my new refrigerator. The door-in-door option is especially nice when retrieving a quick item like a carton of milk. If I had to change anything it would be to put the ice maker in the freezer. Having the ice maker in the door almost eliminates storage in this door - I’ve only been able to put small items like sticks of butter on these two upper shelves which makes them pretty much wasted space. Freezer space is more than generous and having temperature controls etc. on the door is extremely convenient. Color options (white or black) might be nice on this model as not everyone wants stainless.

Needs repair help two weeks after purchase

Repair man coming Monday after 6-8 or so install as fridge not cooling. Also door (door in door feature) quit working.So we'll see what happens. Just bought a mini freezer to put in my frozen foods so won't lose them if a major problem found.

GE no longer good company

I see this is no longer being made. As someone else said, it is noisy, the fan that moves the air went out in under 2 years. The lights in ours went to very dim about 5 months ago. Eve getting an undamaged appliances from GE was a problem. We had to reject delivery on the 1st refrigerator, reject the 1st cooktop, and microwave as all were damaged. The company I work for used GE appliances for years and left GE due to problems. GE was once a fine reputable company, but no more sadly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
