A big disappointment

We have owned this refrigerator for 6 months and continue to have issues with the cooling system malfunctioning. Approximately ever other week I have to pull the refrigerator away from the wall to unplug the unit and plug back it back in hopes of re-setting the board because the refrigerator quits cooling. After a brief power outage yesterday, the refrigerator is not cooling and is not resetting. Called GE for service again and can't have a tech out for 8 days. This is the second time I have been without a refrigerator for over a week since I purchased this refrigerator. I thought I did my due diligence in researching a good product before I purchased but I was sorely mistaken.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

we bought a new high efficient profile fridge and feel we and the public are not being informed prior to purchase of the louder sounds while running this refrigerator makes . only after you read the manual or call out a technician and of course made the purchase do they tell you its common for these new refrigerators to be louder. the hum on a quite evening is unbearable

There are things I like and things I don’t. I like the door alarm. I like the finish. Other than that, it is about the same as the last one we had. I don’t like that you have to open both doors to access the meat drawer and like most refrigerators, some of the door storage is so small it is useless. The ice maker makes a mess when the ice comes out and the tray under the ice and water dispenser doesn’t come apart for cleaning.

Love the size and the black stainless steel. Do not like the door in door feature as the outside door does not latch with the inside door. I had to turn on the alarm because when you close the other door it pushes the outer door open. Will contact customer support and see what happens and will rate again after their response.

I have owned this appliance for a little over 1 year and the icemaker and water dispenser has already frozen. I am awaiting replacement of the entire door! This is ridiculous!

Terrible Fridge

Refrigerator arrived with ice maker not working. 8 weeks later, we still have no ability to make ice. There is frost buildup on the inside left side of the fridge and on the door, even though temperatures are set appropriately. It has been a nightmare, do not buy this refrigerator.
