the item keeps my food cold...the freezer freezes my food....i like these features...if it did not keep my food cold..or did not keep my frozen food frozen...i would not have given a 5 star review....

Living in northern IL we had a mild winter, but when the garage temp got near 40 degrees, the refrigerator maintained normal operating temperatures.

Could not use in garage

We put it in our garage because said it is rated to work at 38 degrees. Our garage is warmer than that but I can not get the freeze to go below +20 degrees which is to warm. We can not use the freezer compartment and that is what we bought it for.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Never buy a GE fridge

The fan in rear is very loud and can be heard in entire house. Manual page 19 exert below:
