Loud Compressor and Fan

I have had my refrigerator now about four months. It works well and has plenty of room. I like the way the levels are adjustable for height. This is an inexpensive model but the compressor and can runs long periods to keep it at a cold setting of halfway. It's so loud that many times it will even wake me at night. To be fair our kitchen is right next to our bedroom but it's very annoying as it runs a lot undoubtedly costing a lot to run. Cost to Value is a good buy. Hope this helps.

We can understand your concern regarding the compressor run time and want to assure you this is completely normal. New model refrigerators can run 80-90% of the time. The intention is to provide stable consistent temperatures in both compartments. Essentially, if the refrigerator is freezing and cooling properly, all is well. We do hate to hear it's disturbing your sleep but can put you mind at ease regarding the cost of operation. Even with the longer run times, this unit is still more energy efficient as the real energy cost occurs when the compressor cycles on as opposed to when it's actually running. Good practical refrigerator

So far it is running fine and quiet. This refrigerator is quite basic but is exactly what we want as a second frig.

We have loved our GE appliances. These appliances are a marriage of efficiency and good looks. When it came time to buy a refrigerator for our recreation room there was no question that we would purchase another GE product. We recommend these appliances to everyone we know, and the new technology coming out makes these products even more attractive.

Love the flat finish

This refrigerator has great storage as well as in the door. The freezer is roomy even with the ice maker. Originally we were replacing appliances with stainless steel as they bit the dust. We found out very quickly that our handicapped son’s fingerprints showing were an issue so…. When we went to replace the refrigerator I saw this flat grey/taupe color I hoped this would work. The fridge was hard to find in the size that fits our kitchen but finally got it.
