Never realized a refrigerator/freezer combo had a "garage ready" feature. It'll be a huge energy saver and the additional space with this model is great.

A step down from our old GE side by side .. & miss the light in the freezer. A little noisy.

Love the shelf in the freezer, Frig is very large also. Like the shelves being glass not wire.

We purchased this model specifically for our garage, since it's a garage ready refrigerator. The unit makes good use of the space in both the refrigerator and freezer sections. It's well designed and looks great in our garage. We were also impressed with the reasonable cost for the unit. Great styling and price overall.

Loud Compressor and Fan

I have had my refrigerator now about four months. It works well and has plenty of room. I like the way the levels are adjustable for height. This is an inexpensive model but the compressor and can runs long periods to keep it at a cold setting of halfway. It's so loud that many times it will even wake me at night. To be fair our kitchen is right next to our bedroom but it's very annoying as it runs a lot undoubtedly costing a lot to run. Cost to Value is a good buy. Hope this helps.

Hi - We are so happy to hear your new refrigerator is performing well and provides the space you need to fit your lifestyle. We can understand your concern regarding the compressor run time and want to assure you this is completely normal. New model refrigerators can run 80-90% of the time. The intention is to provide stable consistent temperatures in both compartments. Essentially, if the refrigerator is freezing and cooling properly, all is well. We do hate to hear it's disturbing your sleep but can put you mind at ease regarding the cost of operation. Even with the longer run times, this unit is still more energy efficient as the real energy cost occurs when the compressor cycles on as opposed to when it's actually running.
