The refrigerator works well and it look’s awesome. However, the suction (gasket piece— I believe that’s what it’s called) on the freezer door isn’t as strong as the refrigerator door. The freezer door opens unintentionally if you close the refrigerator door too hard (and I mean w/out extreme effort).
Excellent product. We love GE Products. Our last refrigerator was a GE and was 27 years old. It was still working fine. The only reason we got rid of it was to upgrade to a larger GE refrigerator.
Looks nice with fingerprint resistant stainless but took awhile to cool down to the temp we wanted. Runs alot, much more than our older fridge that finally died after 15 years so hope this lasts at least 10 years. Major issue is the design of a drawer that can slide along a middle shelf to a desired position. After a little more than 3 months the plastic that holds the drawer to the shelf broke. Took the shelf out of the fridge and found the plastic is not very sturdy (narrow and thin) to support the weight. Our previous Fridge had a similar drawer and actually was a bit bigger so it held more and it lasted longer than the compressor!

Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We’re glad that you’ve enjoyed the attractive appearance of your new refrigerator. We understand that hearing your compressor run often can be worrying. Refrigerators have compressors that are designed to run 80-90% of the time. This makes them more energy efficient, as the greatest amount of energy is used when the compressor cycles on. You can read more about this here:
We’re so sorry to hear that your sliding snack drawer broke; we want to help. We would like to gather some further information from you and an agent will be reaching out to you via email, please respond at your earliest convenience. We look forward to hearing from you. - MichaelB@GEA
Seems good so far. Only problem I have had so for was freezer door was missing inserts to screw the handle on door. Had to improvise and was not to happy about that
