garage ready refrigerator

This is a garage refrigerator that is a backup to our vary old refrigerator in our upstairs kitchen. We wanted a backup to store extra produce, meat, cheese, and other products in, and to be there when our old refrigerator finally gives up. The refrigerator was delivered in good condition. It cooled down to the correct temperatures within several hours, and has maintained both the freezer and refrigerator temperatures very well. We are into wintertime and our garage is not heated. The freezer and refrigerator seem to be handling the low temperatures quite well. Will have to see how it responds to hot summer temperatures, but from all indications so far, it should be fine. The shelving, drawers, and door shelves are sufficient for our needs. The only thing we miss is a light in the freezer. We understand we can buy the ice maker, which has the light as part of it, connect the ice maker, and use just the light part of it to light the freezer. GE - you should consider putting lighting in the freezer!

The refrigerator is meeting all of our needs. We like the deep bins and the door. It is sometimes hard to find a smaller size fridge, but this one fits perfectly.

The fridge is brand new, so no problems there. It’s really nice, and so far so good. The hometown dealer that we purchased from, Ard’s appliance, understands the true meaning of customer service, and we will definitely be back for more GE products that can be serviced locally. Thanks!

It was a much improved upgrade from our previous refrigerator. We are very pleased with the size of the refrigerator especially in relation to the price. There are so many refrigerators out there that require three masters degrees to operate. This is just a simple fridge that keeps food cold as is the main purpose of a refrigerator. Good job GE.

Good but noisy!
